DamnYnke is a partnership of two breeders who have 25+ combined years of experience breeding and showing purebred cats.  We met in the cat fancy, and combined our catteries, and our lives.

Our cats are registered with CFA and TICA and we are actively involved in our local CFA cat club.

Why the name DamnYnke?  The Maine Coon cat has long born the nickname "That Yankee Cat".   There is much folklore and mystery surrounding the origin of the breed, but we all agree that they started out as Yankees.

Anyone below the Mason-Dixon line will tell you that a Damn Yankee is a Northerner who visits the South, and stays.   Hence, DamnYnke Maine Coon Cats.

We are a small, home based cattery where the cats are all considered our pets, as well as our hobby.  We sometimes have kittens or adult cats available to approved homes.  Our cattery is our home, therefore we do not have "open for business" hours.  Cats, when available, are shown by appointment only, to pre-screened potential owners. 

DamnYnke's policy is that we do not ship kittens.
